Amsterdam Airport
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) is located 9 km (5,6 mi) southwest of central Amsterdam. It is home base for many intercontinental airlines and has regularly appeared in the list of Europe’s top five airports. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the airport and, if you’re without your own cellular phone, there are Internet centres in many of the lounges. Pass the time visiting the many restaurants, cafes, bars and duty-free shops. There is even an Xpres-Spa in which to relax before your flight from Amsterdam.
Transport to Amsterdam Airport
A direct railway line connects the airport with Amsterdam Central Station, with regular departures. There is also the Airport Express Bus, Connexxion's 197, that stops just outside the main station hall. Schiphol Hotel Shuttle Bus to Amsterdam can be another alternative if you are travelling in a large group, with journey time between 30 - 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis are located just outside the airport’s arrival hall.
